Race organiser ASO has published the list of 21 teams that will take part in the women's Tour de France in 2026. The 14 World Tour teams were automatically qualified, including the racing teams of the winners of the past three years: Visma-Lease a bike with last year's winner Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, the German racing team Canyon-SRAM-zondacrypto around Kasia Niewiadoma and the French team FDJ-SUEZ, with whom the 2023 winner Demi Vollering is under contract. Also at the start thanks to the highest racing licence: AG Insurance - Soudal Team, EF Education-Oatly with Olympic champion Kristen Faulkner and world champion Magdeleine Vallières, Fenix-Premier Tech with mountain specialist Puck Pieterse, Human Powered Health, Lidl - Trek with German Tour stage winner Ricarda Bauernfeind, Liv AlUla Jayco, Movistar Team with Marlen Reusser and the German Liane Lippert, Team Picnic PostNL, Team SD Worx - Protime with top sprinter Lorena Wiebes and UAE Team ADQ, with whom Giro winner Elisa Longo Borghini is under contract.
Unlike with the men, the organisers were not spoilt for choice. There are currently only 21 professional women's teams. In addition to the 14 teams with a World Tour licence, all second-tier pro teams received an invitation. In addition to the four racing teams from the host country France, namely Cofidis Women Team, Ma Petite Entreprise, Mayenne Monbana My Pie, St Michel - Preference Home - Auber93, Laboral Kutxa - Fundación Euskadi (Spain), Lotto Intermarché Ladies (Belgium) and the VolkerWessels Cycling Team from the Netherlands are also taking part.
The 5th edition of the Tour de France Femmes begins on 1 August 2026 in Lausanne, Switzerland, and leads over nine stages and 1,175 kilometres to Nice. Two stages in particular are likely to be decisive for the overall standings: The 21-kilometre individual time trial to Dijon (stage 4) and the mountain arrival on Mont Ventoux (stage 7), which the women will climb for the first time in the Tour de France Femmes.
