Netflix will start broadcasting the new episodes on 11 June - it has not been confirmed how many there will be. Season 1, which was also released in 2023 at the beginning of June, was split into eight episodes. The protagonists are sometimes the same as a year ago. Thibaut Pinot, the and Groupama-FDJ take up a lot of space in the teaser. Soudal - Quick Step will also have their say with Julian Alaphilippe and manager Patrick Lefevere. In addition, there are once again pictures from the team bus of (then still) Jumbo-Visma.
Sprinters Fabio Jakobsen and Jasper Philipsen also speak in the teaser, while Thomas Pidcock and Matej Mohoric also have their say. The death of Gino Mäder, who also cast his shadow at the Tour, is likely to be a topic, as Tour director Christian Prudhomme is shown announcing a minute's silence.
Overall, the teaser is mainly made up of crashes - Jakobsen in a torn European champion jersey, Pidcock in a downhill, Mark Cavendish on his Tour exit - and negative emotions. Last year, this was criticised by some protagonists. "It's quite disturbing that stories were written in the documentary that didn't exist. For me, the series aims to create excitement," said Wout Van Aert, one of the main protagonists at the time. This is probably why his role is smaller than in the first season of the Netflix documentary.
The series was well received by viewers - the aim was to make cycling accessible to a wider audience - and Netflix announced early on that there would be a sequel.
