Tadej Pogacar (Team UAE Emirates), stage winner in an official interview:
"Today I finally felt like myself again. It's good to feel good again from start to finish after so many exhausting days. To have made it to the finish today makes me really happy. I could ride the Tour a bit longer from now on - no, let's go home tomorrow instead. I waited especially for Adam (Yates; editor's note), he brought his strong brother with him once again. I know Adam really well by now, so he was really perfect for me. Thanks to him! I'm happy that the team did a great job once again. What makes me look back happily on the Tour de France is the atmosphere in the team bus. Marc Soler's looks were particularly bad when I lost the chance of overall victory on the climb."
Adam Yates (Team UAE Emirates), fifth on Eurosport:
"We wanted Tadej (Pogacar; editor's note) to win the stage today. We tried to take control of the race, which is not always easy on the last mountain stage. I then chased the three riders in front with Simon (Yates; editor's note) - in the end I rode a really good leadout for my abilities. I believed in Tadej today. He just had a bad day. We can be happy today that we won the race. We can build on this performance next year. For me, third place in the overall classification is the best result ever in a Grand Tour. Of course I'm happy. But we actually came here to win the yellow jersey, so that spoils the impression a little. But in the end there was only one rider who was better - that's okay."
Simon Yates (Jayco-AlUla), fourth on Eurosport:
"I was initially focussed on winning the stage, but there were faster riders than me today. In the end, I just tried to do my best for my position in the overall classification. I was lucky that I had my brother at my side to close the gap to the leaders. Then I tried to go for the win and make up time on Carlos (Rodriguez; editor's note). It was very important for me to have my brother by my side. I'm sure we'll be drinking a bottle of red wine together soon."
Frans Maasen (Technical Director, Jumbo-Visma), on Eurosport:
"I am very happy! There was a lot to lose today because it was a hectic stage. After Sepp Kuss' crash, it was no longer so relaxed. What happened to Sepp could just as easily have happened to Jonas (Vingegaard; editor's note). After the crash it became uncomfortable in the car. Rodriguez's tyre burst, so Kuss also crashed. It wasn't good for us - Kuss was still fighting for the top eight in the classification."
Tom Pidcock (Ineos Grenadiers), on Eurosport:
"It was a relaxed and controlled start today. On the descent, the field fell apart and I was at the front. Because the radio wasn't really working, I only realised after a delay that Carlos (Rodriguez; editor's note) had crashed. I hope he's okay - I haven't spoken to him yet. In the end it was another tough day. As a team, we had a pretty good Tour de France. Matej's (Mohoric; editor's note) interview also describes my thoughts quite well. At the beginning I hoped a little to be able to fight for the overall classification - that didn't work out so well at some point. Towards the middle of the Tour I had a mentally difficult phase, but today I was back at the front. I'm happy that I was able to end the Tour on a positive note today."
