The team at English football club Manchester United has an estimated market value of 750 million euros. A major issue there is the competition between the many stars in the team and how to deal with friction. The World Tour team Jumbo-Visma also knows the problem well: Primoz Roglic, Steven Kruijswijk, Jonas Vingegaard, Wout van Aert and now Wilco Keldermann have to function as a team.
Jumbo-Visma head coach Merijn Zeeman therefore sought advice on the subject from Erik Ten Hag, head coach of Manchester United. "As a coach, how do you deal with players who have won everything and are suddenly sitting on the bench?" he asked Ten Hag, according to the Dutch "Helden" magazine. Unfortunately, the Manchester United coach's answer has not been made public.
