Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck), in an official interview:
"It's been an incredible Tour de France so far. I can't believe how well everything is going. I'm really happy with my form. Also that I got through the final without any problems. That was a big challenge. We've now done it four times in a row. I'm very happy. I can win without him (Mathieu van der Poel; editor's note), but he makes it even easier. Today I was happy that I had a good rear wheel with Dylan Groenewegen. He opened the sprint early and I was able to pass him. There are maybe three more chances for a sprint. But of course there are also breakaways trying their luck. I'm already very happy with my four stage wins and hopefully I can bring the green jersey with me to Paris. I have a good lead there. That makes it a bit more comfortable before the Alps."
Phil Bauhaus (Bahrain-Victorious), on Eurosport:
"That was another very fast final. With the rain, it was also quite slippery. Everyone was a bit more cautious. There was no real sprint train, I myself was on Dylan Groenewegen's wheel. I think Luka Mezgec was a bit early with him. We then had to take it out a bit and I was also a bit tired at the end. I was happy that I was able to take one of the first three places."
"I didn't have such good legs after yesterday, I suffered a lot. It got better hour by hour. As a sprinter, I'm here to deliver results. It was perhaps one of my last chances in this Tour de France. You never know how far you'll get and the next few days don't really suit me."
Ramon Sinkeldam (Alpecin-Deceuninck), on Eurosport:
"It was very hectic and slippery again with the rain. I think that Jonas (Rickaert; editor's note) and Sören (Kragh Andersen; editor's note) in particular put him (Jasper Philipsen; editor's note) in a good position. In the last kilometre, he then used his strength to win the sprint. Jasper is the best sprinter at the moment. I don't think he was in the perfect position on the last kilometre today, but he still won."
Mikkel Bjerg (UAE Team Emirates), on Eurosport:
... about a radio message that centred on crocodiles and tigers: "We were asked by the A.S.O. why we never talk about tactics on the radio. So in the morning we agreed to say some crazy things on the radio. We had a few suggestions. Crocodiles, lions... These are code words that we know what they mean."
... on Jasper Philipsen's fourth stage win: "He's crazy. He's super fast. He always stays focussed and calm in the peloton. On the last kilometre he has one gear more than everyone else."
