Colnago has unveiled the UAE Team Emirates V4Rs for the 2024 season. Tadej Pogacar's racing bike gets a new livery.

The new paintwork of the Colnago V4R is characterised by the white accent on the Colnago lettering and logo. In addition, the racing machine is Tadej Pogacar and co. are decorated with the colours of the flag of the United Arab Emirates. The vertical lines on the wheel are inspired by motorsport and the automotive industry.

In terms of equipment, everything remains the same on the Colnago V4Rs for the new season: The pros from UAE Team Emirates will have a bike with Shimano Dura-Ace, Continental tyres and Enve wheels. In 2023, the team from the Emirates rode to 57 victories and 139 podium finishes with the all-rounder, placing them First place in the world rankings.

TOUR has the Colnago V4Rs from Tadej Pogacar was scrutinised in detail during the Tour de France 2023. The racing bike of the two-time winner of the Tour of France weighed in at 7.42 kilograms with pedals, computer, bottles and transponder. An interesting detail: several tuning parts from accessory specialist Carbon-TI were fitted to the bike to save weight compared to the original Shimano parts.

This meant it was still around 600 grams heavier than the lightest bike at the 2023 Tour de France, the Giant TCR Advanced from Simon Yatesbut is still in the range of lightweight aero racing bikes. In terms of aerodynamics, however, there is still room for improvement. At a speed of 45 km/h, the V4Rs is around 20 watts short of the fastest professional models.
