Greg Van Avermaet has also discovered gravel riding for himself
Campagnolo introduces the Gravel Index, a platform for international gravel athletes. The project brings together riders from various disciplines, from competition to ultra-distance. Olympic champion Greg Van Avermaet and three-time Esports world champion Jason Osborne are also taking part.

With the Gravel Index, the Italian component manufacturer is creating a structure that differs from traditional teams. The platform is intended to interpret the international gravel level and reflect different approaches to the sport. From pure competition to long-distance formats, the project covers different areas.

Athletes from various disciplines

Nicole Louise Frain, Greg Van Avermaet and Jason Osborne in particular stand out in the component manufacturer's line-up. Frain switched from road racing to gravel and currently leads the UCI Gravel Ranking 2025. The former professional racer and Australian national champion has already won the Oceania Championships this season.

Olympic champion Greg Van Avermaet is probably also a household name. Just a few days ago, it was announced that Van Avermaet joins the development team of bike manufacturer Basso. Three-time world champion in esports cycling, Jason Osborne, is also set to join the project founded by Campagnolo. Campagnolo did not comment on the exact purpose of the project.
