"Life isn't always fair, but the most important thing is how you deal with it," reflects Sastre in the video, which he recorded directly in his shop. The former pro takes the opportunity to talk about values and the lessons he has learnt from his cycling career. "My years on the bike have taught me that every crash is an opportunity to get back up stronger," explains Sastre. With this attitude, he shows how you can keep your composure and look ahead even in difficult situations.
While Sastre's message spread on social media, the Guardia Civil, like the Marca is already working on solving the case. According to a press release dated 23 May 2025, two suspects have been arrested in connection with the burglary. The arrest was made on the A-42 motorway near Toledo during a traffic stop. The officers noticed three people wearing hoods next to two vehicles who tried to flee at the sight of the police.
After a high-speed chase and a collision with an obstacle, the suspects are said to have fled on foot. However, two of them are said to have been caught. In one of the vehicles that had been stolen a few days earlier in Móstoles, the investigators found the eleven stolen bicycles that had been prepared for sale. In addition, they are said to have seized tools typically used in burglaries, including GPS jammers, lock cylinder extractors and OBD connections.
