You can recreate stages of the Giro d'Italia 2026 in Fortnite
The Giro d'Italia is aiming to reach a younger audience this year with a campaign on Fortnite. Players can use the code 2964-6590-5518 to virtually ride the Giro route, collect jerseys and compete for the Giro trophy.

RCS Sport and NOVO Esports are bringing the Giro d'Italia into the digital world of Fortnite. The collaboration aims to reach a younger target group and establish the Corsa Rosa in one of the largest gaming ecosystems. Roberto Salamini, Head of Marketing & Communication at RCS Sports & Events, describes the move as strategically important for the digital expansion of the brand and reaching younger generations.

Virtual Giro route with eight stage locations

The specially developed Fortnite map recreates eight official stage locations of the 109th edition of the Giro: Catanzaro, Naples, the Blockhaus summit in Abruzzo, Viareggio, Aosta, Milan, Gemona del Friuli and Rome as the finish. Players can enter the code 2964-6590-5518 in the search bar and virtually drive along the original route. The gameplay is based on a real stage race with intermediate sprints and time classifications over several stages up to the Giro trophy.

New means of transport and offline stations

DE ROSA Bikes, official bike supplier of the Giro d'Italia 2026, is bringing bikes to Fortnite as a means of transport for the first time. Players will collect the iconic Giro jerseys during the virtual stages and experience the same track characteristics as the pros. Emanuele Acerbis, CEO of NOVO Esports, sees the project as a bridge between parents' passion for cycling and their children's interests in the gaming world.

The cooperation also manifests itself offline: Four gaming stations will be available at Comicon Naples from 30 April to 3 May and Milan Games Week from 27 to 29 November. A comprehensive communication plan is running via the Giro d'Italia's social media channels, supported by gaming influencers such as Riccardo "Piz" Pizzinelli, a key figure in the Italian Fortnite community and an avid cycling fan.
