The French bike manufacturer Look was previously better known for its competition models, equipping the French teams Arkéa-Samsic and Delko-Marseille Provence, among others, in recent years. The new 765 Optimum+ model, on the other hand, is orientated towards the comfort-seeking amateur athlete.
The frame geometry of the bike is aimed even more clearly at an upright riding position than its predecessor, the 765 Optimum. According to Look, the frame construction is 10 millimetres shorter and 20 millimetres higher. The designers also focussed on versatility: The carbon fork allows tyres with a width of up to 42 millimetres, which allows the 765 Optimum+ to be quickly converted for off-road use, for example with 27.5 inch mountain bike tyres. The bike thus joins the ranks of marathon models suitable for long distances.
The bike is available in three versions, all equipped with disc brakes: The entry-level model is equipped with Shimano's 105 groupset, which is available for 3,399 Euro will be available. The other two models are fitted with the Shimano-Ultegra drivetrain and only differ in terms of the wheels: The top model with Look rims costs 4,499 Eurothe model with Shimano wheels 3,999 Euro.
