Founded in 2016, the brand from the Allgäu region, which offers wheels, handlebars and stems, has grown rapidly in just a few years. In the meantime, it has also gained international recognition as the supplier of many Cube series bikes and the Intermarché - Wanty professional team. For two years now, carbon spokes have been a speciality, which Newmen also sells individually under the Vonoa brand. The Advanced A.50, which is the entry-level model in the portfolio at just under 900 euros, comes with classic steel spokes, but with many other technical refinements.

The wheels are built with a combination of cranked and straight spokes, which should improve durability. The only 21 spokes per wheel seem economical, whereas the competition consistently uses 24, but the stiffness of the wheels is still solid. The Streem Aero valve, which is included with the wheels, is also borrowed from professional products. Aerodynamically favourable, it disappears completely into the rim under a cover and is inflated using an adapter. The high-quality wheel bags and crash replacement are also not a matter of course in this price range.
