The Kanzo Adventure from Ridley is getting a motorised offshoot. With the E-Kanzo Adventure, the Belgians want to make bikepacking possible for a wide audience. The centrepiece of the new carbon bike is the Bosch Performance Line CX, which delivers a maximum torque of 100 Newton metres.

After the motorised Grifn and Astr the E-Kanzo Adventure is already the third electric bike in the Ridley range. The new model is based on the 2022 presented Kanzo Adventure and should - as the model name suggests - be a faithful companion for long-distance tours. In addition to the electric motor from Bosch, the new model has the extreme tyre clearance of the non-motorised Kanzo Adventure as well as numerous mounting points for luggage.

According to Bosch, the integrated battery has a capacity of 600 watt hours and weighs 3.0 kilograms. The so-called system controller is seamlessly integrated into the top tube and the riding modes can be selected via a small Bluetooth remote control on the racing handlebars.

The frame geometry of the E-Kanzo Adventure is based on Ridley's non-motorised bikepacking specialist. Although the Belgians did not provide specific details such as stack or reach, they did emphasise the flat steering angle, among other things. This indicates a high degree of directional stability. The new E-gravel bike can also be retrofitted with a suspension fork without compromising handling, as the distance from the axle to the fork crown has been increased by 35 millimetres.
