The Au Ski Club has been organising the Wendelstein Tour for more than three decades. The 165-kilometre route circles the Chiemgau mountain range to the east, with the Wendelstein as its namesake, and leads along low-traffic paths and roads via the Sudelfeld through the district of Miesbach around Seehamer See and Irschenberg. The marathon also includes a large loop around Tegernsee, Spitzingsee and Schliersee. The most popular routes are the distances of 165 and 120 kilometres - but there is also a marathon distance of 213 kilometres on offer. The Wendelsteinrundfahrt is not a cycle race and takes place on public transport.
Online registration for the 35th Wendelsteinrundfahrt opens at 4 pm on Tuesday, 19 May 2026. Last year, the starting places for the long distances were taken after a week - so it doesn't hurt to register early. The entry fee for the 213 km cycle marathon is 45 euros and for the 120 km / 165 km distances it is only 40.00 euros. Last year, 1628 cyclists rode the traditional distances of 120 or 165 kilometres and 724 participants chose the long marathon distance. Registration: www.wendelsteinrundfahrt.de

The cycling event of the Ski-Club Au e.V. is organised on a voluntary basis and is taking place for the 35th time. On Saturday, 22 August 2026, you can start between 7 am and 9 am (for 120 km / 165 km / marathon distances). There will be a pasta party on Friday, an optional breakfast on Saturday morning and a beer garden with brass band music at the finish. The route is signposted and the organiser will provide a GPX track in advance. At many cycling events, signs are twisted or destroyed - the track helps in this case. The route is not closed and in some cases cycle paths must be used. If you are registered for the cycle marathon, you can still decide after approx. 107 kilometres whether to take on the 120 or 165 km distance.
