The Porsche Experience Centre Leipzig has opened its circuit to a cycle race for the first time. On 18 July 2026, cyclists took to the track where sports cars usually do their laps. The event brought 450 participants from three countries to Leipzig.
Lars Brödner and Lars Meseberg from Team Mobil Krankenkasse Cycling dominated the overall standings. Having completed 75 laps, they covered the longest distance of the day and secured their maiden victory. In doing so, they covered around 277 kilometres on the race circuit. Markus Eisner and Philipp Dubyk from Team Die Laktat verrückten clocked the fastest single lap of the event. Their time of 6:43.2 minutes remained unmatched that day. The circuit is a 3.7 km loop. The circuit, located on the grounds of the Porsche factory in Leipzig, features eleven bends inspired by the world of motorsport.
The event was divided into three categories. In the women’s category, the Qwitek Team clocked the fastest lap. In the mixed category, Team The Rookies, comprising Sophie Espig and Thomas Espig, came out on top.
