US Bormiese and title sponsor Santini Cycling organised the fourteenth edition of the Everyman Race in the province of Sondrio on 7 June 2026. The event started and finished in Bormio, with participants able to choose between three routes of different lengths. The international participation underlined the importance of the event, which has established itself as a permanent fixture in the calendar of ambitious amateur cyclists.
The long distance of La Stelvio Santini covered 130 kilometres and 4,270 metres in altitude from Bormio, first over the Rogorbello climb, then over the Mortirolo, before the participants rode back to Bormio and finally conquered the Stelvio Pass. The medium distance did not include the Mortirolo and covered 108 kilometres with 3,050 metres of ascent, with Rogorbello and the Stelvio Pass forming the decisive climbs. The short distance concentrated exclusively on the ascent to the Stelvio Pass and measured 64 kilometres with 2,280 metres of altitude.
The organisers of La Stelvio Santini only counted the added times of the timed climbs. This system is intended to increase safety on the descents, as the participants cannot make up any time there. The titles King and Queen of the Mountain were therefore awarded to the riders with the fastest overall times on the respective mountain classifications of their chosen route.
Piero Lorenzini from Team Factor Hicari Stemax rode the fastest cumulative mountain times over the long distance. Frenchwoman Angélina Shandro came out on top in the women's race. Both of them mastered the three climbs Rogorbello, Mortirolo and Stilfser Joch faster than their competitors.
Andrea Spasaro from the Santini Squadra Corse team won the middle distance ahead of his pursuers. Alicya Jouet from the French team Etoile Cycliste Lyon Monplaisir secured victory in the women's race. Samuele Toniatti from US Bormiese triumphed in the short distance, while Austrian Patricia Steinkellner from Bike- und Radsportclub Lavanttal achieved the fastest women's time.
For the first time, a gravel event on Saturday complemented the traditional road race. The new event led through the gravel roads of the Alta Valtellina and turned the event into a weekend for various cycling disciplines. There were two routes to choose from: a short route over 44 kilometres with 1,400 metres of ascent and a long route over 70 kilometres with 2,000 metres of ascent. The classification was based solely on the time ridden on the climbs - a format already familiar from the road edition.
The Austrian Gerald Grundner from the Radl-Eck Racing Team came out on top in the long distance, while Maria Ossowska from Team RV Einsiedeln won the women's race. The decisive section was the climb to Boscopiano - four kilometres with an average gradient of 12.8 per cent. The Belgian Marijn Kemper from the Barbob Cycling Team and the Spaniard Ana Martinez Romero from Team Sulawesi Adventures won the short section.
