Registration for the ASVÖ King of the Lake starts on 8 April 2022. The KOTL time trial race offers 47.2 kilometres of free riding for racing cyclists around Lake Attersee.

On 17 September 2022, cyclists will meet in the Austrian Salzkammergut for the 12th edition of the time trial. Registration for Europe's biggest time trial starts on 8 April - as in the previous year, the registration window will be open for a fortnight, after which the individual starting places and places for teams of four will be drawn from all registrations. Registration is available at www.kotl.at possible.

King of the Lake: 47.2 kilometres time trial on closed roads

A clear track on a completely closed route - this becomes a reality every autumn. When around 1,400 time trialists roll off the start ramp in Schörfling on 17 September, the whole of Lake Attersee will be dedicated to cycling. The 12th edition of the ASVÖ King of the Lake once again promises to be a highlight of the cycling calendar for amateur athletes. Riding 47.2 kilometres on a completely closed road around one of the most beautiful lakes in the country is unique.

Because the KOTL has always been sold out in the last ten years, the organisers are relying on the King of the Lake 2021 to a draw for the starting numbers. Online registration, which starts on 8 April, will run for 17 days, after which the 1,400 starting places (individual and 4-person teams) will be drawn from the collected registrations. However, registration for the teams of 10 will take place as usual on a first come, first serve basis. The individual starting place costs 69 euros, the ticket for a team of 4 240 euros. The fee of three euros per registration will again be donated to the Red Cross.

The Registration for the 12th ASVÖ King of the Lake 2022 runs from 8 April to 24 April.
