Saturday is dedicated to the race number distribution. A highlight for families is the children's balance bike event. In the early evening, a warm-up party kicks off the festival weekend. Musical entertainment will be provided by the "Dorfrocker" and the regionally renowned "Baaremer Luusbuäbä".
Sunday will be the sporting highlight of the festival with a joint ride with Jan Ullrich. In addition to the event's namesake, other cycling greats have confirmed their participation. Guests include the US American Lance Armstrong, the British Tour de France winner Sir Bradley Wiggins, the Italian sprinter Mario Cipollini, the German Tour legend Udo Bölts and the Tour de France stage winner Simon Geschke.
Participants can complete up to four laps of a 28.8 kilometre circuit. The focus is not on the idea of competition, but on the shared experience. All active participants will receive an exclusive, limited edition event jersey in the festival design.
The participants' physical well-being is catered for with high-quality all-inclusive catering during the tour. After the ride, cyclists can look forward to an after-race buffet in the finish area with regional specialities and refreshments. A varied supporting programme in the start and finish area will provide additional entertainment.
As a special attraction, the Jan Ullrich Cycling Museum, which opened in May 2024, will be open to visitors this weekend. The museum presents the career of the German cycling legend with exclusive exhibits and brings it to life for visitors.
The participation fee for the Cycling Tour on Sunday starts at a limited early bird price from 199 euros and then rises to 249 and finally 299 euros. In addition to participation in the event, the price also includes catering and the event jersey.
