The Bohemian Border Bash Camp has developed into an international gravel event in just four years and attracts cyclists from all over Europe and beyond. The three-day gravel camp offers playful rides, challenging gravel bike tours and shared campfire evenings - in short: lots of fun and adventure.
The organisers offer a colourful potpourri of gravel events. The spectrum ranges from friendly weekend gravel camps to Ultra-distance bikepacking race. They themselves have explored gravel paths, trails and small country roads in dozens of countries on bicycles and have come to the conclusion that ignoring all kinds of borders - territorial, political or cultural - can help bring people together: to cycle, exchange stories and make new friends. And all this in beautiful places. That's why the Border Bash crew has made it their mission to provide unique personal experiences, an open and welcoming community and unbeatable rides.
The Border Bash Bohemia Gravel Camp will take place for the fifth time from 7 to 10 September 2023. As always, participants will be able to explore the gravel tracks and single trails of Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland, sit around the campfire in the evening, watch a medieval fire show and even watch the finishers of the 1300 kilometre long ultra-distance gravel bikepacking race at the finish line.
To celebrate five years of "ignoring borders", Border Bash is expanding its event portfolio with a new gravel camp, this time in sunny Aragon in Spain. The three-day event will take place from 20 to 23 April 2023. Just right to leave the grey late winter days behind.
Almost a thousand years ago, King Sancho Ramirez of Aragon built Montearagón Castle in the foothills of the Pyrenees above the city of Huesca to recapture it from the Arab dynasty that controlled the lower plateau. The King of Aragon hoped to redraw the borders once again, but they would continue to fluctuate over the next millennia. This is why The Bash invites you to "ignore borders that have been fought over for too long". The gravel bike tours run in the shadow of the walls of Montearagón. There are countless gravel paths to explore in the region, winding between the fields and gravel tracks that wind their way over the dry hills.
The Gravel Camp Aragon is not a race. Rather, it is a collection of different tours on mixed surfaces that can be adapted to suit individual strength, ability and stamina. If you want, you can - quite literally - push yourself to get the most kilometres out of the weekend. At the same time, the camp offers the opportunity to hang out with old friends and meet new people on the bike. The organiser makes it clear once again that it's no problem at all to push the gravel bike up the odd climb. Back at the camp, there is a hearty meal and an evening with like-minded people. Many conversations will certainly revolve around the subject of bikes.
