Starting places are still available for the Night Sprint.

The anniversary edition of the Arlberg Giro has seen record demand: never before has the race sold out so quickly. Places are now only available for the sprint as part of the supporting programme. Martin Ebster, director of the St. Anton am Arlberg Tourist Board, attributes the demand to the growing enthusiasm for road cycling.

Three days of racing in St. Anton

The cycling weekend begins on Friday, 30 July 2027, with the St. Anton Night Sprint. The course runs through the pedestrian zone and is 200 metres long. Initially, all participants will race against the clock. The 16 fastest men and women will qualify for the final, where head-to-head sprint duels in an elimination format will decide the winner. The races will be accompanied by a light and fire show. Entry places are still available for this competition. On Saturday, the International Cycling Criterium will take place in the town centre, where professional cyclists will compete.

Arlberg Giro route

The Arlberg Giro takes place on Sunday, starting in St. Anton am Arlberg. The climb to the Arlberg Pass awaits the riders shortly after the start. The route takes them through the Klostertal and the Montafon, and via the Paznaun and the Stanzertal back to the finish. As well as the overall classification, the riders will compete for the titles of ‘King and Queen of the Mountain’ on a climb with separate timing. The mountains classification adds extra excitement to the race.

Arlberg Giro supporting programme

The Expo Area is open on all three days. Group rides, live music and a pasta party round off the sporting programme. The event is becoming a meeting place for cycling enthusiasts from various countries.
