The UCI Gran Fondo Loutraki is a race over 105 kilometres and 1270 metres in altitude. The starting point is Loutraki in the Peloponnese region, around 80 kilometres west of Athens. To take part, you need a racing licence or a current medical certificate confirming that you are fit for sport. The UCI Gran Fondo Antalya features races over 98 or 66 kilometres as well as a time trial. All routes have only a few metres of elevation gain - even if the route leads briefly inland, where it goes uphill. To take part, you need a racing licence or a current certificate of fitness. The race is a qualifying competition for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships. The Atlas Gran Fondo is a small event for adventurers. The long route covers 120 kilometres and 1495 metres in altitude. The Gran Canaria Bike Week offers seven or eight days of cycling in a row. The Gran Fondo Pico de las Nieves cycling marathon is an optional start. However, with 3324 metres of elevation gain over 125 kilometres, it is a strenuous start. The second day is unusual: a virtual stage is ridden - the roller trainers are parked in a hotel. The Granfondo Strade Bianche is the most important race on the Italian spring calendar. Even though the race takes place in Chianti, mild temperatures are not guaranteed. Amateur cyclists can ride parts of the final stage of the professional Paris-Nice stage race. The Paris-Nice Challenge covers 131 kilometres and 2370 metres in altitude on roads that are not closed to traffic.
