9 November 2025 GF Antalya, Antalya | Turkey

The UCI Gran Fondo Antalya features races over 98 or 66 kilometres as well as a time trial. All routes have only a few metres of elevation gain - even if the route leads briefly inland, where it goes uphill. To take part, you need a racing licence or a current certificate of fitness. The race is a qualifying competition for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships. The top 25 per cent of each age group can compete at the World Championships in Japan in 2026. www.ucigranfondoantalya.com

16 November Atlas Gran Fondo | Morocco

The Atlas Gran Fondo is a small event for adventurers. The long route covers 120 kilometres and 1495 metres in altitude. The starting point is the historic oasis town of Taroudant in southern Morocco, around 80 kilometres from Agadir. The organiser offers rental bikes. www.atlasgranfondo.com/granfondo/

30 November - 7 December Gran Canaria Bike Week | Spain

The Gran Canaria Bike Week offers seven or eight days of cycling in a row. The Gran Fondo Pico de las Nieves cycling marathon is an optional start. However, with 3324 metres of elevation gain over 125 kilometres, it is a strenuous start. The second day is unusual: a virtual stage is ridden - the roller trainers are parked in a hotel. This is followed by stages with a lot of metres in altitude from different starting points. It is also possible to take part in individual stages only. www.grancanariabikeweek.es

The Granfondo Strade Bianche is the most important race on the Italian spring calendar. Even though the race takes place in Chianti, mild temperatures are not guaranteed. In previous years, there have also been very wet and cold races. The long course covers 144 kilometres, the short one 93 kilometres. www.gfstradebianche.it

15 March Paris-Nice Challenge | France

Amateur cyclists can ride parts of the final stage of the professional Paris-Nice stage race. The Paris-Nice Challenge covers 131 kilometres and 2370 metres in altitude on roads that are not closed to traffic. There is no timekeeping, so an optional loop over the Col de la Madone del Gorbio can be added, which extends the route to 148 kilometres. www.paris-nice.fr
