AMS Osram is expanding its product portfolio in the area of Bicycle lighting and introduces a new generation of powerful lighting systems with the LEDsBIKE COMPACT series. The new lighting sets are now available in two power variants: the LEDsBIKE COMPACT 50 with 50 lux and the LEDsBIKE COMPACT 100 with 100 lux luminosity. Both versions include a front light and a matching rear light, whereby the rear lights can also be purchased separately as COMPACT REAR or RACE REAR. The lighting systems have been specially designed for use in different riding conditions. Lighting conditions and offer three manual brightness levels. The 100 lux version also has an automatic mode that automatically adjusts the brightness to the ambient light conditions. A special safety feature is the integrated brake light in the rear light, which automatically alerts other road users to braking manoeuvres. The bicycle lights are approved in accordance with the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO) and are suitable for various types of bicycle such as city bikes, trekking bikes, racing bikes, mountain bikes, gravel bikes and e-bikes.
Bicycle lights from AMS Osram: features and functions
The LEDsBIKE COMPACT lighting sets are characterised by a compact, lightweight design with ABS housing and are protected against the elements in accordance with IP54. The front lights are equipped with powerful AMS Osram LEDs and offer three brightness levels (25, 50 and 100 per cent), which can be set manually for the 50 lux version. The LEDsBIKE COMPACT 100 also has an intelligent brightness sensor that recognises the ambient light conditions and automatically adjusts the brightness. In darkness or poor visibility conditions, the LED automatically switches to a higher level, while the brightness is reduced when there is sufficient ambient light. This function not only increases ease of use, but also optimises the battery life, which is up to 14 hours (50 lux version) or up to 12 hours (100 lux version), depending on the model. Both models have a practical battery and charging indicator as well as a USB-C charging function for easy charging.
Assembly and innovative safety functions
A special safety feature of the LEDsBIKE COMPACT 100 series is the intelligent rear light with integrated brake light function. The system reliably recognises deceleration or braking manoeuvres and automatically activates a significantly brighter light signal at these moments. As a result, following road users are made aware of the braking manoeuvre in good time - a decisive safety advantage, especially when riding in the dark or in poor visibility conditions. For simple and flexible installation, both lighting sets are equipped with a Garmin-compatible bracket with a practical quick-release fastener. This bracket fits different handlebar sizes and allows the lights to be removed quickly when the bike is parked. The COMPACT REAR and RACE REAR rear lights are also available separately and are just as easy to attach to the bike. All products in the LEDsBIKE COMPACT series come with a two-year guarantee.
