More and more modern racing bikes are focussing on aerodynamic handlebar shapes and moving away from the classic round tube cross-section. Specialised brackets and adapters are therefore required for mounting bike computers and headlights. We present four solutions in this article.
This holder is specially designed for the Aura headlight series. To do this, simply remove the original holder with strap from the locking rail and then slide it onto the counterpart of the front mount; the inclination and therefore the light range can be adjusted using the hinge screw.
With the Supernova extender, the GoPro holder is positioned in the centre and the long version of the GoPro mount serves as an adapter. In this way, the headlamp can be easily mounted and aligned and also easily operated using the wired remote control.
Topeak's standard holder (120, 150 mm) for aerobars with two longitudinal threads under the cockpit; the holder for a GoPro camera is included. With a special adapter, the headlight, in the picture the SL Nano from Lupine, can be mounted far forward and aligned with two screws. This bracket is also suitable for adapters from Busch+Müller (Aura 100 Out Front Mount) or Trelock (ZL 480).
The clever and inexpensive holder from Cateye is compatible with all Cateye headlights with a locking rail and fits aerodynamically shaped handlebars with a cross-section of up to one by five centimetres. The alignment and inclination of the light range can be infinitely adjusted.
