Indoor training with airstream: that's what the Wahoo Kickr Headwind is supposed to do. Our test shows what the Bluetooth fan is capable of.

Indoor cycling is extremely sweaty, so fans are essential. Wahoo has now moulded this into a new format. The Headwind fan stands on the floor and throws its airflow in a focussed manner towards the rider. The fan can be controlled manually or continuously via sensors. ANT+ sensors for heart rate or speed can be connected and configured via the Wahoo Fitness app. We measured a maximum wind speed of 50 km/h at the fan outlet, and the wind hits the rider at a maximum of 15 kilometres per hour. The background noise is whisper-quiet at low speeds (28 dBA) and quieter than a trainer at full throttle (48 dBA). The cooling effect is impressive.

A suitable addition to the Kickr Headwind indoor fan from Wahoo is the Kickr Climb simulator.
