The Hypercraft is already one of the classic cycling glasses from 100%. The frameless goggles have a sleek racing design with laser-cut lens edges. Ventilation slits on the front are designed to prevent the glasses from fogging up too quickly in the heat of battle. 100% is generous when it comes to equipment and includes a high-quality hard case with goggle bag and a replacement nose bridge.
The 100% Hypercraft is somewhat more economical when it comes to adjustment options. Neither the temples nor the nose bridge can be adjusted. However, the huge panoramic lens is equipped with a water and oil-repellent coating. Rain should roll off the lens cleanly.
With a weight of just 21.4 grams, the Hypercraft is one of the lightweights among sports glasses. Only the Julbo Intensity weighs less than 20 grams.
Thanks to the frameless design, nothing stands in the way of a clear view with the 100% Hypercraft. Even the nosepieces are kept pleasantly narrow and do not protrude into the centre of the field of vision. The huge mono lens offers the best view in all directions.
Due to their low weight, the 100% is hardly noticeable on the nose and although they do not offer any adjustment options, the glasses do not slip around, even off-road. Only the shape of the nose bridge and temple tips is somewhat angular - not ultimately comfortable in the long term. The goggles are also very wide and the lack of a frame means that they don't have much clamping force. Bikers with a narrow face are unlikely to be happy here. The very long temples can collide with the helmet shell, so be sure to try them on with head protection before buying.
The Hypercraft shields the eyes excellently from the wind thanks to the protruding lens; the wind doesn't blow through the sides or the cheekbones. That's great!
However, the windscreen does not appear to be equipped with anti-fog protection, as it tarnishes quickly in sweaty conditions when standing and then takes quite a long time to clear up again.
We were also not really convinced by the 100% in terms of tinting speed. Although it darkens quickly, it clears up all the more slowly. In this respect, the Hypercraft only lands in one of the bottom places.
Top visibility and protection but quite slow in terms of brightening. Fits wide faces better.
The 100% Hypercraft impresses with its sleek racing look and perfect vision thanks to the huge, frameless shield construction. They reliably block the wind. The self-tinting sunglasses darken quickly, but only clear up again slowly and tend to fog up. The lightweight sports sunglasses sit comfortably on narrow faces, but are also quite loose. With the almost clear initial tint, the Hypercraft is also very suitable for dark days.
