Remco Evenepoel was delighted with the presentation of his new work shoe: "Only at Specialized can I ask the product team for a shoe like this and wear it eight months later at the race. Super light, incredibly stable and comfortable - that's everything I need for races and stages with lots of climbs. And exactly what I wanted."
TOUR has already had the opportunity to test the new cycling shoe from Specialized. Weighing just 356 grams per pair (in size 44), they feel almost shoeless when riding - ideal for professionals and ambitious cyclists who are looking to save every gram of weight on their equipment. The upper shoe made of lightweight mesh TPU material is breathable yet robust. Inside, a sock-like construction encloses the foot, without a classic tongue. The fit is impressive: the wide forefoot area offers sufficient space, even in the heat and on long rides, so that your toes don't fall asleep. The non-slip heel hold is excellent. The sizes are regular. The combination of a Boa twist fastener and Velcro strips over the toes ensures a precise fit. On the downside, the tight sock shaft without a shoehorn makes getting into the shoe a little difficult. Nevertheless, the Torch Remco combines low weight, high rigidity and excellent comfort - a high-end shoe for anyone looking for uncompromising performance.
