Swiss Side launches the Aero Classic Road Cycling Apparel Collection. According to the manufacturer, the Aero Jersey Classic and the Aero Bib Shorts Classic have been tested in the wind tunnel in the same way as the Swiss company's wheels.

According to Swiss Side, the new clothing line is being tested in the wind tunnel as part of the overall rider system. "We don't differentiate between hardware and textiles in our quest for speed," explains Jean-Paul Ballard, co-founder and CEO of Swiss Side. Every seam and fabric choice is designed to deliver measurable performance gains. The jersey uses special sleeve fabrics for aerodynamic efficiency, while the bib shorts have a new seat pad with two 10 mm thick foam layers of different densities from 80 to 90 g/m³. The collection is available in light grey and dark grey.

Jersey with anatomical cut

The Aero Jersey Classic uses a pre-shaped anatomical fit that follows the body position on the bike. The sleeves are made from a specially selected aerodynamic fabric. The jersey has three back pockets plus an additional zip pocket. The front zip is concealed, while the sleeve hems are laser-cut and equipped with silicone grip. An elasticated waistband with silicone grip keeps the jersey in place. Reflective piping on the back increases visibility.

Bib shorts with new padding

The Aero Bib Shorts Classic use a new road bike seat pad with two foam layers of the same thickness of 10 mm, but different densities between 80 and 90 g/m³. A special technology combines the layers to provide support in the right places. The material consists of 60 per cent polyamide and 40 per cent elastane. A mesh panel in the centre back is designed to improve breathability, while elasticated leg cuffs provide support. Reflective piping on the back completes the features.
