Gonso’s new collection is designed for road cyclists who want to train regularly even in autumn and winter. Windproof and water-repellent materials are designed to protect the body from getting cold and from light rain. At the same time, brushed inner linings and stretch fabrics ensure warmth and freedom of movement in the sporty riding position.
Visually, Gonso combines subtle shades of blue, beige and black with eye-catching accents in neon mint. Reflective elements improve visibility on short days and in poor lighting conditions. Given the high summer temperatures, the timing of the launch may seem unusual at first, but it is typical for winter clothing: anyone who wants to be well-equipped for October and November should start thinking about the right layers well in advance.
The two versions of the Road Jacket Softshell play a central role in the collection. According to Gonso, the lightweight, technical fabric is windproof and water-repellent. The brushed inner lining is designed to retain heat and wick moisture away from the body. The close-fitting cut is tailored to the riding position on a road bike. Three back pockets provide space for snacks, a smartphone and other accessories.
The Road Jacket Softshell is made from a blend of materials. Softshell is used on the chest, shoulders and arms, whilst a breathable thermal jersey fabric ensures extra freedom of movement. A two-way zip allows for customisable ventilation during intense training sessions.
When it comes to long cycling tights, Gonso takes two different approaches. The SQlab Go BibX Therm combines a windproof softshell fabric with warm thermal fleece. The integrated SQlab chamois is designed to relieve pressure on the sit bones thanks to its thin construction and a gel layer. The bib shorts are available in sizes S to 6XL, making them suitable for a wide range of riders.
The Essential Bib Tight Therm is designed as a classic thermal bib tights. The fabric is designed to dry quickly, reduce odours and ensure comfort on both long and short rides. For women, Gonso offers the Essential Tight High Waist Therm with a high waistband and an anatomically shaped chamois. The waistband is designed to retain heat around the midsection and keep the tights securely in place.
The Sitivo Long-Sleeve Jersey is designed for use across three seasons. Its slightly brushed inner fabric helps maintain a comfortable body temperature. It features a three-compartment back pocket with an additional zipped pocket, as well as reflective design elements. The jersey is available for men and women in a range of colours.
To mark Gonso’s 100th anniversary, a casual off-bike corduroy jacket has also been added to the collection. The corduroy jacket is a unisex design intended for everyday wear when you’re not cycling.
