The Dutch cycling clothing specialist AGU has presented its new autumn/winter 2025 collection, which has been specially developed for year-round cyclists. The collection, which was presented in Berlin and Alkmaar, is aimed at leisure cyclists who don't want to give up their bike even in the cold season. The company has been developing clothing for cycling since 1966, focussing on combining functionality, comfort and modern design. The new collection follows this principle and offers Protection from wind and weather windproof and water-repellent materials and sophisticated ventilation systems. According to the manufacturer, the clothing is suitable for both short training sessions and longer weekend tours. A particular focus of the collection is on sustainability: AGU says it is continuously working towards greater transparency and a circular economy. The company has set itself the goal of equipping every item with a Digital Product Passport by 2030 and using only sustainable materials, at least half of which should be made from responsibly produced materials.
The collection includes various bibtights for different requirements. The Bibtight Essential with straps is positioned as the basic trousers for autumn and winter and has a revised seat pad. They are aimed at riders whose tours do not last longer than two hours. For more demanding cyclists, AGU offers the Prime Bibtight, which has been specially developed for longer rides in the cold season. These high-quality cycling shorts are equipped with the revised Ruby Red seat pad, which, according to the manufacturer, should ensure optimum comfort even on long rides. The shorts complement the tops in the collection and, in combination with them, are intended to form a well thought-out system for different weather conditions. The bibtights are part of the overall concept, which should enable cyclists to ride comfortably and protected even in adverse conditions.
The 2025 autumn/winter collection from AGU offers various options for the upper body that can be adapted to different weather conditions. According to the manufacturer, the long-sleeved Square cycling jersey is particularly suitable for mild winter days or in combination with an additional layer on cooler spring and autumn days. The long-sleeved Performance Solid jersey, which is described as the latest version of a classic, ensures a wide range of possible uses. It is made from a soft, lightweight and particularly stretchy fabric that is designed to offer a high level of comfort and optimum freedom of movement. It can be worn as an outer jacket in mild temperatures and as a mid-layer on cooler days. The Essential Thermo jersey combines the properties of a longsleeve with the functionality of a jacket and is therefore designed for cooler autumn days. It is designed to keep you pleasantly warm and can be combined with an additional thermal layer in winter. For additional wind protection, AGU offers an ultra-light wind waistcoat which, according to the manufacturer, can be easily stowed away in the jersey pocket thanks to its practical packability.
In addition to jerseys and shorts, the AGU autumn/winter 2025 collection also includes various accessories to complete the weather protection. The new Raceday overshoes have been further developed with feedback from professional cyclists and feature seamless cuffs and complete wind and water protection. For optimum vision in low sunlight or riding through wooded terrain, AGU offers the Glory cycling goggles with bronze-coloured lenses. These are equipped with an anti-fog and hydrophobic coating and are aimed at performance-orientated cyclists. The manufacturer has developed the Venture Bags series for tours and excursions. The waterproof handlebar bag can be detached from the aluminium holster without having to remove the entire construction from the bike. The Seat Pack can be attached to the saddle and the waterproof drybag can be quickly removed if required. The Venture Extreme Tube frame bag is made from robust, waterproof and recycled polyester and is designed to withstand extreme weather conditions.
AGU looks back on a long history in the development of cycling clothing. Founded in 1966, the company has its roots in the Netherlands, where the bicycle is seen not only as a piece of sports equipment, but also as an integral part of everyday life. This tradition is reflected in the company's philosophy of developing clothing that is suitable for both performance-orientated and everyday cyclists. The new autumn/winter 2025 collection continues this tradition and combines Dutch design with performance characteristics. According to the company, AGU equips cyclists with sustainable, innovative gear for adventure, endurance and exploration in all weather conditions. The collection shows how the company is constantly evolving to meet the needs of modern cyclists without forgetting its roots. The combination of tradition and innovation makes the brand an established name in the cycling industry.
