The Woven Bib Shorts from Vandeyk gets a successor with version 1.1 VIZ. We tested the new cycling shorts and put together an autumn outfit for fresh and windy days with the long-sleeved jersey and the Aero Shell Jacket. Our tester rode a lap in the new Vandeyk clothing at around 15 degrees. What was the conclusion of the test and what new features are there?

Vandeyk Woven Bib Shorts 1.1 VIZ: this is new

With the new bib shorts, it is immediately noticeable that the new 1.1 VIZ version is equipped with reflective elements. This ensures better visibility at dusk or in the dark and therefore increases safety on the bike.

The characteristic circle is placed on the left leg at the front, while the Vandeyk lettering has also been placed on the back in reflective lettering. The new bib shorts also feature an updated bib structure and hem construction.

The Aero Shell Jacket from Vandeyk is particularly suitable when it's fresh and windy or even rainy. In autumn in particular, it is often not very cold, but a ride out can still be uncomfortable. The Aero Shell Jacket is designed to be worn over a jersey or long-sleeved jersey. During the test ride, the windproof properties were immediately noticeable, while significantly more wind flowed through the sleeves of the long-sleeved jersey. The Aero Shell Jacket also keeps out light rain, but it is not made for constant wetness.

Clever detail: The Aero Shell Jacket is equipped with air-permeable mesh on the back. This allows heat to dissipate perfectly at the back and prevents it from building up under the jacket.

Wearing comfort: sporty but comfortable

Vandeyk cycling clothing is characterised above all by its sporty cut. The trousers, jersey and jacket fit comfortably on the body, but are cut short. It is therefore advisable to order the items one size larger. Our test rider, who is 1.83 metres tall, normally wears a size M, but opted for a size L.

The sleeves fit comfortably, the waistband of the jersey and shorts fits perfectly and keeps the cycling clothing in place. Like its predecessor, the bib shorts are equipped with a thin but comfortable seat pad from SQlab.
