The Australian cycling clothing manufacturer MAAP has presented its latest collection for the transitional and winter seasons. The Melbourne-based brand is thus expanding its range with several technically sophisticated products that have been specially designed for challenging weather conditions. The new products focus on protection against adverse environmental influences while maintaining comfort and performance. The collection includes both completely new products and revised versions of proven classics. Particularly noteworthy is the addition of a thermal long-sleeved jersey to the Aeon line and the new Elements Pro Race jacket with Polartec materials. In addition, the Apex Deep Winter jacket and bib tights have been reissued in an improved 2.0 version. The collection is rounded off with various accessories such as gloves, hats, base layers and waterproof bags. The products are available now, just in time for the biannual MAAP Equinox event, where cyclists around the world collect kilometres together.

Technical innovations for extreme conditions

The new Aeon Thermal long sleeve jersey extends the recently launched Aeon collection, which was designed for endurance rides. The jersey combines a premium fleece lining with a water-repellent DWR coating to provide both warmth and protection from light precipitation. The close-fitting cut corresponds to the brand's characteristic Pro-Fit. For days with heavier precipitation, MAAP has developed the Elements Pro Race Jacket, which is available in both long-sleeved and short-sleeved versions. The jacket features a technical Polartec Power Shield RPM membrane, taped seams in critical areas and a protective back panel. Stretchy underarm panels and special cuffs have been integrated to optimise comfort and freedom of movement. Prices for the Aeon Thermal long-sleeved jersey start at 225 euros, while the Elements Pro Race jacket is available from 265 euros.

The Apex Deep Winter Jacket 2.0 is available for 335 euros, while the matching Bib Tight 2.0 costs 325 euros. Both products are available in both men's and women's versions.

Comprehensive range of accessories for all-round protection

To complete the winter equipment, MAAP has developed a range of accessories that complete the protection against the cold and wet. The Apex Deep Winter Cap is made from the same Polartec Power Shield material as the jacket and costs 65 euros. The Control Winter glove has been specially designed for the early winter cold and focusses on comfort and grip. It is available at a price of 100 euros. For the base layer under the outerwear, MAAP offers new Team Mesh and Team Midweight Baselayers, which ensure effective moisture transport and cost 70 euros each. The new Shield Saddle Bag and the waterproof Shield Phone Wallet are particularly practical for longer rides. Both accessories are waterproof and reinforced with hard-wearing TU-laminated nylon to keep valuables dry and safe even in the worst conditions. Prices start at 55 euros. The range is completed by Team socks for 20 euros and Core bottles from 20 euros.

MAAP Equinox Experience connects global cycling community

The release of the new winter collection takes place shortly before the semi-annual MAAP Equinox event. This global cycling series unites cyclists worldwide for that brief moment in the year when day and night are the same length all over the world. The event challenges participants to push their limits and join a global community of cyclists to complete as many laps around the planet as possible over seven days. The event offers the perfect opportunity to test the new winter equipment in real-life conditions while being part of a global initiative. The Equinox Experience emphasises MAAP's commitment to not only producing high-quality cycling apparel, but also to fostering an active community of cyclists who motivate and inspire each other.
