Test 2015: Wireless radio system on the Cardo helmet

The second helmet at the latest, the installation runs just as smoothly as the pairing with the other person's device. The buttons on the transmitter unit are easy to operate even when wearing thick gloves, and the flexible speakers fit perfectly to the ears.

The most surprising thing is the call quality: even when travelling at speed, you can talk to your partner virtually noise-free and without annoying wind noise. The Bluetooth system automatically adapts to the ambient volume. Depending on the terrain, noise-free communication was possible over a distance of 150 to 350 metres. The main advantage of the BK-1, however, lies in the variety of pairing options. Smartphones, sat navs and MP3 players can also be connected to the headset. Calls can be answered with a simple "yes". And you no longer have to miss the next turn-off: The sat nav voice now whispers it directly into your ear.
