The unique selling point of Sena's new R2 racing bike helmet is its integrated communication system consisting of headphones, microphone and control unit. The new Sena helmet can also be paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth, which enables voice-supported GPS route guidance, for example.
Bluetooth technology also makes group communication possible
The manufacturer Sena promises that up to four cyclists in a group can communicate up to a distance of 900 metres. The new R2 helmet will be available from this summer 2022 at a price of 169 euros (the R2 Evo with rear light costs 199 euros) >> available here.
The US company has also announced that it will be supporting the Dutch WorldTour team DSM as a helmet sponsor.
