Comfort shell: Kask Protone helmet in the TOUR test
As one of the first brands and as a sponsor of Team Sky, Kask attracted attention with closed, aerodynamically optimised road helmets. The current Protone model, however, is more open again.

Large air intakes at the front characterise the appearance. The low-slung rear is reminiscent of helmets worn by freeriders, for example. Thanks to its all-round shape, the new Kask fits many cyclists' heads and the height-adjustable headband can be conveniently adjusted using the twist lock.

We liked the slightly thicker padding, thanks to which the not record-breaking weight of 250 grams - top models from the competition weigh around a fifth less - is optimally distributed on the head. The synthetic leather chin strap is elegant and comfortable.

PLUS All-round fit; comfortable adjustment; well ventilated
