The challenge for helmet designers is to combine a streamlined shape with the best possible ventilation under one shell. If you believe Scott's words, the new Cadence Plus has achieved this particularly well. Although we are not yet able to provide any wind tunnel data, we have nothing but good things to say about the fit and ventilation. The helmet captures the airflow via five relatively large and two small air vents in the front and channels it over the head through internal channels. If aerodynamics are more important, the larger openings can be closed with custom-fit polystyrene plugs - which is also very useful in cool weather. To ensure that safety is not neglected, the helmet features the MIPS system, a type of second inner shell that is designed to absorb impact energy better than a classic helmet. The Cadence Plus can be adjusted with a finely rasterised twist lock that regulates the headband. The neck strap is height-adjustable and the chin straps close with a click lock.
