Sweet Protection positions the Falconer Aero 2Vi Mips as an aerodynamically optimised high-end road bike helmet. The removable, magnetic covers are designed to close the side ventilation openings when required and thus reduce air resistance or protect against bad weather. Without the covers, the ventilation system is designed to provide maximum cooling. The helmet integrates Mips Air into the 2Vi protection platform, fulfils EU, US and UK standards and offers features such as a goggle holder, Fidlock magnetic closure and a 360-degree adjustment system.
The Falconer Aero 2Vi Mips stands out with its versatile design: The two magnetic aero covers can be attached or removed in a flash and noticeably change the character of the helmet. With the covers, it becomes a closed aero model; without them, the ventilation system opens up for significantly more airflow. The workmanship is of high quality and the fit can be precisely adjusted thanks to 360-degree adjustment. Goggles are also held securely in place thanks to the integrated gripper.
The Falconer Aero 2Vi Mips is Sweet Protection's new aero top model and uses two magnetic covers to close the side air vents. At 337 grams (with covers) or 314 grams without, it is not one of the lightest, but impresses with its high quality workmanship. The pads are fully integrated into the Mips Air system, which noticeably increases comfort. The head ring, which can be adjusted using the dial, has a generous recess for pigtail straps and is height-adjustable in three positions. The Delta straps fit comfortably around the ears and the magnetic fastener is intuitive to operate. When we tried them on, the size 56-59 was comparatively small, which is why we recommend trying them on in person. Price: 299 euros >> at Rosebikes or Bike Components available.
