The new Cratoni Gravoq bike helmet has been specially designed for gravel biking. It is lightweight, well ventilated and adaptable. What else does it have to offer?

The Cratoni Gravoq is designed to stand out from other gravel helmets. It is said to be optimally ventilated thanks to its 17 openings and very comfortable thanks to the various adjustment options on the strap with plug-in fastener and the 360° CFS size adjustment system, which also allows a ponytail to be worn. The manufacturer also calls it one of the lightest gravel helmets in the world.

Cratoni Gravoq: What makes a bike helmet a gravel helmet?

The manufacturer's promo video (above) states that the helmet is "for all those who know that riding fun only really begins off the tarmac".

The most important feature of the new helmet from Cratoni is probably its comfort. Above all, the very low weight - the helmet is available from 250 grams - makes it very comfortable on the head on long tours. Other helmets, such as the Leatt Endurance or the new Canyon helmetweigh at least 320 grams. In addition, the good ventilation provided by the 17 openings and the various systems for adapting to the head are intended to ensure additional comfort when cycling. At the same time, the overriding goal is of course protection. The Cratoni Gravoq has a robust outer shell and extended protection in the area of the temples and back of the head. The bike helmet also fulfils the CE, CPSC and AS safety standards. Reflectors are also attached to the gravel helmet for greater visibility.

The Cratoni Gravoq also makes quite an impression visually. Because even if the rider wants to notice as little of the helmet as possible, they still want to wear a beautifully designed product. The gravel helmet is available in four different matt colours that can be combined with different cycling outfits. In addition, the price of 100 euros is very fair for a bicycle helmet with a low weight.

Camber sensor optional

The Cratoni Gravoq is available in two different sizes. The CleanTex pads on the inside are removable and can be washed. They are also antibacterial. In addition to the features, buyers can also purchase additional accessories for the helmet. The manufacturer offers a classic under-helmet cap and a rain cover for the coming autumn to match the bike helmet. The C-Safe Crash Sensor is also an optional highlight for even more safety. This is easily attached to the gravel helmet and sends a signal to an emergency contact in the event of a (serious) fall.
