Trek Procaliber 9.8

The 2022 Trek Procaliber 9.8 is a high-quality mountain bike which, at a price of 4,099 EUR, is positioned in the upper mid-range. The frame is made from OCLV Mountain Carbon and features IsoSpeed technology, which provides additional compliance and comfort. The tapered head tube and Knock Block offer extra stability and protection against the handlebars twisting. The internal cable routing and the Balanced Post Mount disc brake mounts contribute to a clean look and improved braking performance. With a maximum load capacity of 136 kg and a kerb weight of just 10 kg, the bike offers an impressive combination of lightness and robustness.

The braking system consists of Shimano Deore XT M8100 hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear, fitted with Shimano RT76 brake discs featuring a 6-hole mount. The disc sizes vary between 160 mm and 180 mm depending on the intended use. Power is transmitted via a 12-speed Shimano XT M8100 system, controlled by the Shimano XT M8100 shifter. The fork is a FOX Performance 32 Step-Cast with Float EVOL air spring and GRIP damping, which features a remote lockout and offers 100 mm of travel.

The crankset is from e*thirteen and consists of TRS Race Carbon with a 34-tooth aluminium chainring. The cassette is a Shimano XT M8100 with a 10–51-tooth range. The handlebars are an integrated Bontrager RSL unit made from OCLV Carbon, with a width of 750 mm and a stem length of 80 mm. The grips are ESI Chunky, which provide good grip and comfort.

The tyres are Bontrager XR2 Team Issue in size 29 x 2.20, fitted to Bontrager Kovee Elite 30 wheelsets made from OCLV Mountain Carbon. These wheelsets are Tubeless Ready and feature a Rapid Drive 108 hub. The saddle is a Bontrager Verse Elite with austenitic rails and a width of 145 mm, fitted to a Bontrager Pro seatpost made from OCLV Carbon.

The bike has a packaging width of 23 mm, a height of 119 mm and a length of 201 mm. The frame geometry comprises a reach of 45 mm, a stack of 60 mm, a seat tube length of 47 mm, a top tube length of 62 mm, a head tube angle of 69 degrees, a seat tube angle of 73 degrees and a head tube length of 9 mm. The chainstay length is 43 mm, the standover height is 78 mm and the wheelbase is 113 mm.
