Trek Powerfly FS 4 500 Gen 2

The "Powerfly FS 4 500 Gen 2" model from Trek, released in 2022, is a versatile e-mountain bike characterised by its robust construction and high-performance features. The frame is made from Alpha Platinum Aluminium and features a removable integrated battery (RIB), a tapered head tube, internal cable routing and a Motor Armor for additional protection. The magnesium rocker arm and ABP (Active Braking Pivot) technology ensure effective suspension with 100 mm of travel. The bike is also fitted with mounting points for a luggage rack and mudguards, and features a Boost148 rear hub for increased stability.

The wheelset consists of Alex MD35 rims, which are tubeless-compatible and have an internal width of 35 mm. The front hub is a Bontrager hub with sealed bearings, an aluminium axle and a Boost 110 15 mm thru-axle. The rear hub is also by Bontrager and is made of aluminium with sealed bearings and a 6-hole disc mount.

Riding comfort is provided by the Bontrager Arvada saddle with steel rails and a width of 138 mm, mounted on a TranzX JD-YSP18 seatpost with a 100 mm rise and internal cable routing. The saddle is clamped using a bolt-on clamp with a diameter of 36.4 mm.

The Powerfly FS 4 500 Gen 2’s battery has a capacity of 500 Wh, providing sufficient power for extended rides. The packaging dimensions are 23 mm wide, 119 mm high and 201 mm long.
