Trek Madone SLR 7 Gen 7

The 2023 Trek Madone SLR 7 Gen 7 is a state-of-the-art road bike characterised by its advanced technology and impressive performance. With a price tag of EUR 10,999, it is aimed at ambitious cyclists who do not want to compromise on quality and performance.

The frame of the Madone SLR 7 Gen 7 is made from 800 Series OCLV carbon and uses the KVF (Kammtail Virtual Foil) tube shape to optimise aerodynamics. The IsoFlow seat tube area provides additional comfort and efficiency, while the invisible cable routing ensures a clean look. The bottom bracket is a T47 BB, and the bike has a flat-mount disc brake mount and a 142x12 mm thru-axle.

The permissible total weight of the bike is 125 kg, while its own weight is just 7 kg, making it one of the lightest models in its class. The braking system consists of Shimano Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear, each with BR-R8170 flat-mount brake callipers and 160 mm brake discs.

Shifting is provided by the electronic Shimano Ultegra Di2 system with 12 gears, including the Shimano Ultegra R8170 Di2 shifter and the Shimano Ultegra R8150 Di2 front derailleur. The fork is a Madone KVF full carbon fork with a tapered head tube and internal brake line, which further improves aerodynamics.

The crankset is a Shimano Ultegra R8100 with 52/36 teeth and a crank arm length of 175 mm. The sprocket is a Shimano Ultegra R8100 with a gradation of 11-30 teeth for precise and efficient power transmission. The drive is provided by a combination of Shimano Ultegra and XT M8100 components.

The cockpit of the Madone SLR 7 Gen 7 consists of an integrated handlebar/stem unit made of OCLV carbon with a width of 440 mm and a stem length of 110 mm. The wheelset is the Bontrager Aeolus Pro 51, also made of OCLV carbon and tubeless ready, with thru axles at the front (100x12 mm) and rear (142x12 mm).

The saddle is the Bontrager Aeolus Elite with austenitic stays and a width of 145 mm, mounted on an aerodynamic internal carbon seat post with integrated rear light mount and 0 mm offset. The geometry of the frame includes a seat tube length of 57 mm, a top tube length of 59 mm, a head tube angle of 74 degrees and a seat tube angle of 73 degrees. Other important dimensions are a head tube length of 19 mm, a chainstay length of 41 mm, a standover height of 81 mm and a wheelbase of 100 mm.
