The 2023 Trek Fuel EX 9.9 XTR Gen 6 is a state-of-the-art mountain bike designed for challenging trails and a wide range of riding conditions. Priced at EUR 11,499, this model offers top-of-the-range specifications and innovative technologies.

The frame is made from OCLV Mountain Carbon and features an integrated storage compartment as well as adjustable geometry, which can be customised using Mino Link. The head tube angle is also adjustable, and the suspension progression can be fine-tuned. Guided internal cable routing ensures a clean look and protects the cables. The frame also features a magnesium lever, a 34.9 mm seat tube diameter and is ISCG 05-compatible. The chainline is 55 mm and the bottom bracket is a BSA 7.

The bike’s maximum load capacity is 136 kg, whilst it weighs just 13 kg itself, making it a lightweight yet robust companion.

The braking system consists of Shimano XTR M9120 hydraulic 4-piston disc brakes at the front and rear, with 180 mm Shimano RT86 brake discs. This combination offers excellent braking performance in all conditions.

Gear changes are handled by the Shimano XTR M9100 shift lever and the Shimano Dura-Ace/XTR M9100 drivetrain with 12 speeds. The cassette is a Shimano XTR M9101 with a range of 10–51 teeth.

The saddle is the Bontrager Arvada Pro with carbon rails and a width of 138 mm, whilst the seatpost is a Bontrager Line Elite Dropper with 100 mm of travel and internal cable routing.
