The 2022 Trek Dual Sport 3 Equipped Gen 4 is a versatile bike designed for a range of uses. Priced at 974 EUR, this model offers a balanced combination of performance and comfort. The frame is made from Alpha Gold aluminium and is DuoTrap S-compatible. It features internal cable routing, rack and mudguard mounts, and a Post Mount disc brake mount. The kickstand mount and the 135 x 5 mm quick-release axle round off the specifications. The maximum load capacity is 136 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 15 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, fitted to both the front and rear, each with a 160 mm brake disc. The stem is also by Bontrager and Blendr-compatible; it has a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm, an angle of 7 degrees and a length of 110 mm. The headset consists of sealed, threadless compact bearings.

The tyres are Bontrager H2 Comp Reflective, size 700 x 40. The wheelset comprises a Shimano hub dynamo on the front wheel and a Formula rear hub, both fitted to Bontrager Tubeless Ready rims. The saddle is a Bontrager H1, whilst the seatpost is made of aluminium with a diameter of 27.2 mm, a 12 mm offset and a length of 330 mm.

Additional features include SKS plastic mudguards, an aluminium side stand mounted on the rear frame and a MIK-compatible aluminium rear rack.
