Trek Domane AL 4 Disc

The 2022 Trek Domane AL 4 Disc is a versatile road bike that stands out for its high-quality components and robust construction. The frame is made from 100 Series Alpha aluminium and features a tapered head tube, internal cable routing, mudguard mounts and a flat-mount disc brake mount. The frame is also DuoTrap S-compatible and features a 142 x 12 mm thru-axle. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 125 kg, whilst it weighs 10 kg itself.

The brakes are Shimano RT66 disc brakes, with a 160 mm 6-hole disc mount at both the front and rear. The shift levers are Shimano Tiagra R4725, featuring a reduced grip width and a 10-speed drivetrain. The crankset consists of a Shimano Tiagra 4700 with a length of 170 mm and a 50/34 tooth configuration. The cassette is a Shimano 10-speed with a range of 11–32 teeth, whilst the drivetrain is powered by the Shimano Tiagra HG54, also a 10-speed system.

The handlebars are Bontrager Comp VR-S aluminium bars with a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm, a reach of 81 mm, a drop of 118 mm and a width of 38 cm. The stem is a Bontrager Elite, also with a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm, Blendr-compatible, an angle of 7 degrees and a length of 80 mm. The headset is an integrated FSA headset with sealed cartridge bearings, 1 1/8" at the top and 1.5" at the bottom.

The tyres are Bontrager R1 Hard-Case Lite with a clincher bead and a size of 700 x 32C. The wheelset consists of Bontrager Affinity Disc, Tubeless Ready, with an internal width of 21 mm and a Presta valve. The hubs are Formula RX-512 at the front and Formula RX-142 at the rear, both made of aluminium and featuring a 6-hole disc mount. The rear hub also features an 11-speed Shimano freehub.

The saddle is a Bontrager Verse Comp with steel rails and a width of 155 mm. The seatpost is made from Bontrager Comp 6061 aluminium, has a diameter of 27.2 mm, an offset of 8 mm and a length of 250 mm.

The Domane AL 4 Disc has a seat tube length of 44 mm, a top tube length of 52 mm, a head tube angle of 71 degrees and a seat tube angle of 75 degrees. The head tube length is 12 mm, the chainstay length is 42 mm and the standover height is 72 mm. The wheelbase measures 100 mm in total. The bike is priced at 1749 EUR.
