Stevens Tonga 29" Stealth Black

The 2021 ‘Tonga 29 Stealth Black’ model from Stevens is a robust and versatile mountain bike, available for €599. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium, which gives the bike excellent stability and durability. With a maximum load capacity of 115 kg and a kerb weight of 14 kg, the bike is suitable for both everyday use and more demanding rides.

The Tonga 29’s brakes and brake levers are from Shimano; specifically, the BR-MT200 and BL-MT200 models, which ensure reliable braking performance. The derailleur is also by Shimano and comprises the Alivio Shadow RD-M3100-SGS with 18 speeds. The shift levers are Shimano Acera SL-M3000/3010, whilst the front derailleur is a Shimano Altus FD-M2020-TS.

The bike is fitted with an SR Suntour XCM HLO fork, which offers 100 mm of travel, ensuring a comfortable ride over uneven terrain. The pedals are MTB flat pedals, which provide a secure grip. The bottom bracket is a 73 mm BSA, and the crankset consists of a Shimano FC-MT210-2 with 36 and 22 teeth. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG200, 9-speed.

The Tonga 29’s handlebars are Oxygen Driver with a width of 700 mm, and the stem is also an Oxygen Driver. The headset is a STEVENS MTB 1 1/8", which enables precise steering. The rims are Oxygen RM-M19 in sizes 19 x 584 and 19 x 622, whilst the tyres are Schwalbe Smart Sam Active-Line in sizes 57-584 and 622.

The hubs are Shimano TX505-8, which ensure a smooth ride. The saddle is an Oxygen Raceline, which, together with the Oxygen Driver seatpost, ensures comfort on long rides.
