Scott Spark 700

The 2024 Scott Spark 700 is a high-quality mountain bike that stands out for its well-thought-out design and technical features. Priced at 2999 EUR, it offers good value for money.

The Spark 700’s frame is made from a specially shaped aluminium alloy (Spark 27.5" Alloy SL 6011) with individually machined and hydroformed tubes. The frame features a tapered headtube, a BB92 bottom bracket and a Boost 12x148mm rear axle. The maximum load capacity is 70 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 12 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-MT500 brakes at the front and rear, operated by Shimano BL-MT501 brake levers. The brake discs – both SM-RT54 models with a diameter of 160 mm – ensure reliable deceleration under a wide range of conditions.

The Spark 700’s gear system is provided by the SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed system, which, in combination with a SRAM NX Eagle trigger shifter, ensures precise and fast gear changes. The fork is an X-Fusion RC32 RC 27.5 with 120 mm of travel, whilst the rear shock is an X-Fusion 02Pro RL Trunnion, which also offers 120 mm of travel and features lockout and rebound adjustment.

The bottom bracket is a SRAM DUB Pressfit / MTB 92, and the crankset consists of a SRAM SX Eagle DUB Boost with a length of 155 mm and a 30T chainring. The cassette is a SRAM SX Eagle / PG-1210 with a 11–50-tooth range, and the drivetrain uses a SRAM CN SX Eagle chain.

Steering is provided by a Syncros T-bar handlebar made from aluminium (6061), which is 680 mm wide and has a 9° bend. The grips are Syncros Youth 115. The stem is also made from Syncros 6061 aluminium and has a diameter of 31.8 mm and a 7° angle.

The wheelsets consist of Syncros X-25 rims, which are tubeless-ready and each have 32 spokes. The tyres are Schwalbe Racing Ray (27.5x2.25) at the front and Schwalbe Racing Ralph (27.5x2.5) at the rear, both from the Performance Line range featuring TLR and ADDIX technology. The hubs are a Shimano HB-MT400-B CL at the front (15x110 mm) and a Shimano FH-MT400-B CL at the rear (Boost 12x148 mm).

The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro, fitted to a Syncros Dropper Ducan Remote seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a travel of 80 mm, specially designed for children.

The Scott Spark 700 XS is supplied in packaging measuring 29 mm in width, 89 mm in height and 155 mm in length. The gross weight of the packaging is 21120 g.
