The "Genius 930" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a high-quality mountain bike characterised by its advanced technology and robust construction. Priced at 4299 EUR, it offers a wide range of technical features suitable for both challenging trails and leisurely rides.

The Genius 930’s frame is made from Genius Alloy 6061 and features Integrated Suspension Technology as well as Virtual 4 Link Kinematics. This design allows for an adjustable head tube angle and optimal cable routing via the Syncros Cable Integration System. The frame is also fitted with a BB92 bottom bracket and a UDH interface, and offers a chainline of 55 mm with a 12x148 mm rear axle. The maximum rider weight is 128 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs in at 15 kg.

The Genius 930 is suitable for riders between 180 cm and 200 cm tall. Optimal braking performance is provided by the SRAM DB8 4-piston disc brakes at the front and rear, complemented by SRAM Centerline CL rotors with diameters of 200 mm at the front and 180 mm at the rear. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano XT RD-M8100 SGS Shadow Plus rear derailleur with 12 speeds, controlled by Shimano Deore SL-M6100-R Rapidfire Plus shift levers.

Suspension is provided by a FOX 36 Float Rhythm Air Grip fork with 160 mm of travel and a FOX Float Custom EVOL Performance Trunnion rear shock with 150 mm of travel. Both components offer various adjustment modes, such as Lockout, Trail and Descend, to adapt to different riding conditions.

The drivetrain comprises a Praxis M24 BB92 bottom bracket and a Praxis Cadet M24HD crankset with a 32-tooth chainring. The cassette is a Shimano Deore CS-M6100-12 with a 10–51-tooth range, whilst the chain is a Shimano Deore CN-M6100.

The cockpit consists of a Syncros Hixon 2.0 handlebar made from 6061 D.B. alloy, with a width of 780 mm, a rise of 12 mm and a backsweep of 8 degrees. The Syncros AM 2.0 stem is 50 mm long and has a 4-degree angle. The Syncros Endurance lock-on grips ensure a secure grip.

The wheels feature Syncros X-30S rims, 30 mm wide, which are tubeless-ready. The hubs are from Formula: the CL-811 model at the front and the CL-148M model at the rear. Maxxis Dissector tyres are fitted, which are also tubeless-ready.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino 2.5 Regular, mounted on a Syncros Duncan Dropper Post 2.5 seatpost with a travel of up to 170 mm. Syncros Fork Fenders complete the spec.

With a seat tube length of 470 mm, a top tube length of 659 mm and a head tube angle of 65 degrees, the Genius 930 offers balanced geometry for a variety of riding scenarios. The seat tube angle is 77 degrees, the chainstay length is 440 mm and the wheelbase measures 1281 mm in total.
