Scott Aspect 920

The "Aspect 920" model from the "Scott" brand from 2024 is a versatile mountain bike that is characterised by high-quality components and a well thought-out design. The frame is made of Aspect 900 series / Alloy 6061 Custom Butted Tubing and offers a solid base for demanding rides with Boost QR 5x141mm, a tapered head tube and internal cable routing. The permissible total weight is 128 kg, while the bike itself weighs in at 13 kg.

The Aspect 920 is suitable for riders between 170 cm and 180 cm tall and offers comfortable suspension with the Suntour XCR32-RL-R fork, which has 100 mm of travel, a remote lockout and an adjustable rebound function. The Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm brake disc at the front and 160 mm brake disc at the rear ensure reliable braking performance in a wide range of conditions.

The bike's gear system consists of a Shimano XT RD-M8000 SGS Shadow Type with 22 gears, supported by Shimano Deore SL-M5100 shift levers with 2-way release and a Shimano Deore FD-M5100 front derailleur. The crankset is a Shimano FC-M5100-B2 in a 2-piece design with 36x26 teeth, combined with a Shimano CS-M5100-11 sprocket (11-42T) and a KMC X11 drivetrain.

The Syncros 3.0 handlebars with a width of 720 mm, a rise of 12 mm and a backsweep of 9 degrees provide additional comfort and control. The stem has a length of 70 mm and an angle of 7 degrees. Syncros components can also be found on the grips, the seat post and the saddle, making for a harmonious set of features.

The wheels consist of Syncros X-20 Disc rims with 32 spokes and are fitted with Kenda Booster tyres (2.4", 30TPI). The hubs are a Formula CL51 at the front and a Formula CL2241 at the rear.

The Aspect 920 is available for a price of EUR 1099 and offers excellent value for money for mountain bike enthusiasts. The geometry of the frame is well thought out, with a head tube angle of 69 degrees, a seat tube angle of 74 degrees, a chainstay length of 450 mm and a standover height of 783 mm, which makes for a balanced and stable ride. With a wheelbase length of 1102 mm and a bottom bracket height of 316 mm, the bike is both manoeuvrable and comfortable to ride.
