The "Aspect 740 orange" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a versatile and robust mountain bike suitable for riders between 180 cm and 190 cm tall. Priced at 899 EUR, it offers excellent value for money and is aimed at ambitious beginners as well as advanced riders.

The frame is made from 6061 alloy custom-butted tubing from the Aspect 900-700 series and features internal cable routing and a replaceable derailleur hanger. The maximum rider weight is 128 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs in at 14 kg.

The bike is fitted with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (MT200) with 160 mm Shimano SM-RT10 CL rotors at both the front and rear, ensuring reliable braking performance in all conditions. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano Alivio RD-M3100 with 18 speeds, complemented by Shimano SL-M3100 shift levers featuring R-fire plus and 2-way release, as well as a gear indicator. The front derailleur is a Shimano FD-M3120 Side Swing with a clamp width of 31.8 mm.

The Suntour XCR32/X1-LO-R fork, with 100 mm of travel, a hydraulic lockout and rebound adjustment, offers a comfortable and controlled ride over uneven terrain. The drivetrain is supported by a Shimano BB-MT500 Hollowtech II bottom bracket and a PROWHEEL RAID-501-TT crankset (36X22). The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG200-9 with a 11-36T gear ratio, and the chain is a KMC X9.

The cockpit consists of a Syncros 3.0 handlebar with a width of 720 mm, a rise of 12 mm and a backsweep of 9 degrees, combined with a Syncros 3.0 stem (80 mm long, 7-degree angle). The grips are Syncros Pro Grip, whilst the saddle is a Syncros 3.0 model, mounted on a Syncros 3.0 seatpost (31.6 mm diameter, 350 mm length).

The wheelsets consist of Syncros X-20 Disc rims (32H, black) and are fitted with Kenda Booster tyres (2.4", 30 TPI). The hubs are Shimano HB TX505 at the front and Shimano FH-TX5058 at the rear, complemented by black stainless steel spokes (14 G).

The bike’s geometry features a seat tube length of 480 mm, a top tube length of 615 mm, a head tube angle of 68 degrees, a seat tube angle of 74 degrees, a head tube length of 120 mm and a chainstay length of 435 mm. Other dimensions include a reach of 445 mm, a stack of 594 mm, a top tube height of 799 mm, a fork installation height of 488 mm, a wheelbase of 1147 mm, a bottom bracket height of 309 mm and a bottom bracket drop of 44 mm.
