Scott Aspect 740 Cu blue

The "Aspect 740 Cu blue" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a versatile mountain bike suitable for riders between 180 cm and 190 cm tall. It is available at a price of 899 EUR and offers a range of technical features that appeal to both beginners and advanced riders.

The Aspect 740’s frame is part of the Aspect 900-700 series and is made from 6061 alloy custom-butted tubing. It features a BSA73 bottom bracket, internal cable routing and a replaceable derailleur hanger. The fork is a Suntour XCR32/X1-LO-R with hydraulic lockout and adjustable damping, as well as 100 mm of travel.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes at both the front and rear, each fitted with 160 mm diameter Shimano SM-RT10 CL rotors. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano CUES RD-U4000-GS Shadow-type rear derailleur with 9 speeds, controlled via Shimano CUES SL-U4000-9 shift levers with 2-way release.

The drivetrain comprises a KMC X11 chain, a Shimano CUES FC-U6000-1 crankset with 32 teeth and a Shimano CUES CS-LG400-9 cassette with a range of 11–46 teeth. The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-BBMT500 Hollowtech II, which is bolted in.

The handlebars are Syncros 3.0, with a width of 720 mm, a rise of 12 mm and a backsweep of 9 degrees. This is complemented by Syncros Pro grips and a Syncros 3.0 stem with a length of 80 mm and an angle of 7 degrees. The headset is a Syncros OE Press Fit with a diameter of 1 1/8 inches.

The wheelsets consist of Syncros X-20 Disc rims with 32 black stainless steel spokes. The tyres are Kenda Booster, 2.4 inches wide with a TPI of 30. The hubs are from Shimano: the HB-TX505 model at the front and the FH-TX5058 model at the rear.

The saddle is a Syncros 3.0, mounted on a Syncros 3.0 seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 350 mm. The bike’s total weight is approximately 20 kg.
