Scott Addict 40

The "Addict 40" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a high-quality road bike designed for ambitious riders. It is priced at 2199 EUR and offers a wide range of technical features that make it an attractive option.

The Addict 40’s frame is made from Addict Disc HMF carbon and features endurance geometry. It is fitted with a replaceable derailleur hanger, internal cable routing and is ready for Syncros mudguards. The maximum load capacity is 120 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 9 kg.

The braking system consists of Shimano BR-4770 hydraulic disc brakes at both the front and rear, with 160 mm Shimano SM-RT64 CL rotors. The gear system is provided by a Shimano Tiagra Black RD-4700-GS with 20 speeds, controlled by Shimano Tiagra ST-4720 Dual Control shift levers. The front derailleur is a Shimano 105 FD-R7000 Black.

The bike is fitted with an Addict HMF Disc fork, which features an eccentric carbon head tube measuring 1 1/4"–1 1/2". The bottom bracket is a PRAXIS 86-0301 M24 BB86, and the crankset is a PRAXIS ALBA M24 with 50/34 teeth in black. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG500, 10-speed with a range of 11–32 teeth, and the drivetrain uses a KMC X10 chain.

The handlebars are aluminium Syncros Creston 2.0 Compact with a diameter of 31.8 mm, whilst the stem is a Syncros RR2.0 with a length of 103 mm. The headset is an Acros AIF-1134.

The wheelsets consist of Syncros Race 24 Disc rims, each with 28 spokes at the front and rear. The hubs are Formula Team II Disc 28 H, and the tyres are Schwalbe ONE Fold in size 700x32C.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino Regular 2.5 Channel, fitted to a Syncros RR1.2 seatpost measuring 27.2/350 mm.

The bike has a seat tube length of 525 mm, a top tube length of 555 mm and a head tube angle of 73 degrees. The seat tube angle is 74 degrees, the head tube length is 145 mm and the chainstay length is 420 mm. The bottom bracket drop is 70 mm and the fork offset is 45 mm. The top tube height is 790 mm, the fork installation height is 395 mm and the wheelbase measures 1011 mm in total. The bottom bracket height is 275 mm.

The Addict 40 is suitable for riders between 170 cm and 180 cm tall and offers a balanced combination of performance and comfort for long rides.
