Lapierre XR 9.9

The 2021 Lapierre XR 9.9 model is a high-performance mountain bike that impresses with its high-quality components and well-thought-out design. The bike’s frame is made from XR 29-inch Full Carbon Ultimate, offers 100 mm of suspension travel and is fitted with a PressFit bottom bracket. Boost technology and the Metric Thru Axle contribute to the bike’s stability and efficiency.

Braking performance is provided by the SRAM Level TLM brakes, which are renowned for their reliability and powerful stopping power. The bike’s drivetrain consists of the SRAM XX1 EAGLE BLACK CARBON 12-speed system, which ensures precise and rapid gear changes. The orange Fox 32 Step Cast Factory Kashima fork, with 100 mm of travel and a 2-position remote, offers excellent damping and control, whilst the FOX FLOAT DPS FACTORY KASHIMA rear shock is also fitted with a 2-position remote and ensures a comfortable ride.

The NW 91K pedals with steel cages provide a sturdy platform for the rider. The bottom bracket is a SRAM DUB PRESSFIT 92, which works in conjunction with the SRAM XX1 Eagle Black Carbon crankset, available in lengths of 170 mm for size S and 175 mm for sizes M, L and XL. The crankset is fitted with a 32-tooth chainring. The cassette is an SRAM XG 1295 with a range of 10 to 50 teeth, offering a wide gear ratio range.

The drivetrain is completed by the SRAM XO1 EAGLE system. The handlebar assembly features an FSA SLK Carbon Flat handlebar with a width of 740 mm and a diameter of 31.8 mm, complemented by foam grips for a comfortable grip. The stem is made from Lapierre 7050 alloy, is 3D-forged, has a 7-degree angle and is available in lengths of 60 mm for sizes S and M, and 70 mm for sizes L and XL.

The headset is an SRAM X01 Eagle, matching the rest of the groupset. The tyres are Lapierre Carbon XC 29-inch Boost XD Driver TLR, which ensure good traction and manoeuvrability. The Fizik Tundra M5 saddle offers comfort even on longer rides, whilst the Lapierre carbon seatpost, with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 400 mm, ensures stability.
